Yes, absoloutely. I have my KC's installed this very way. The lights are only active if the high-beams are selected AND my hidden toggle switch is. Very handy..

I tapped a low-voltage wire in the cab, under the steering column. The color is... awe, I ferget! Do a search. I found the wire color from this site.. probably from a post by Bob!

and as for the relays what would you all recommend?

NHBubba_Revisited Nov 13, 2005 06:37 AM

Bosch style SPST (SPDT if you can find them, just for the added flexibility, although it isn't strictly needed for AUX lights) automotive relays. Your local auto parts store should have them. Radio-smack too.

Both Matt (FireRanger)'s and the KC diagrams linked in here show the pinouts for Bosch style relays..

Ok another question....I have a switch from a previous set of lights that were on my other truck...they were APC truck lights these...

and the switch is a toggle switch...one for spots..and the other one is spot and fog together....can I use that one with my lights?? Say if I wanted my outside two to be my spot and then all 4 for spot+fog?.....

Without seeing the switch, I have no idea how it is designed.

Ill take a pic of it later today, have it up for you early this evening.

Ok as for the switch its a toggle switch so when its in the middle its off, switch it up for one set of lights, switch it down for both sets of lights. There is one red,one black, and a white wire that come out of its and run in a rubber coated shield for about 2 feet. In the meantime what would you all suggest for fog light bulbs??? I have silverstars in my headlights and those off road lights on the roof but I want something that works well in snow and bad weather...or any other suggestions welcome...I wanna get this lights thing done all at once...Thanks
