Wiring Qestion

ok so i think im going to install my new lights tommorrow and when i installed the first set i tapped into the power and ground behind the radio, so my question is will it be ok to tap the power and ground behind the radio again for the second set or should i tap it from the 12volt accessery thing?

i guess i will just try to tap the 12volt accessery thing cause its only for the little light on the switch its self, not for the power to the whole lights themself.

I think i might have misled u all, when i said that i taped the Power and ground behind the radio i ment that was for the little light on the switch, i ran the main power wire to the distrubution box thing where the fuses are.

Scared me too. A switch backlight is about 30 milliamps. A relay coil is about 500 milliamps at the most. You can put a lot of switches on that circuit without overloading it.

I was also concerned, but relays/switches are different.
As long as you don't have a huge ball of electric tape and ghetto connectors, you should be fine, load wise...

Man, I've got so much stuff tapped behind my dash, it looks like the FBI telephone junction box at a New York Mosque...

I don't see any problem with it for low currents like that.

Ha! John, you successfully made me laugh.. FBI telephone junction box at an NY Mosque.. That's funny! .. Somebody should quote THAT in their sig!

I've had my concoctions apart 5-6 times to rewire now. The latest thing I'm into is connectors. Connectors and harnesses make things NICE..
