I was tracing not working brake lights and in the process of poking around, blew fuse for the auxiliary relay box and generic electronic module. Could this have affected the pats system, everything lights up, but the starter won't work. Tom O

Assuming just the one fuse blew then no it wouldn't effect PATS, and anti-theft light would be flashing if PATS was an issue when trying to start.

If you have a manual trans you could have loosened or disconnected Clutch pedal switch, it is on the push rod that goes from pedal to master cylinder, switch closes when clutch pedal is pushed in all the way, allowing power to pass from key switch to starter motor.

PATS does use starter relay to disable starter motor, it is in the engine power box

It's an 02 4x4 with a 4.0 automatic, the theft light in the dash is flashing, I had moved the relays around also to make sure there wasn't a bad one. I've got power at the column. I've also tried moving the shifter out of park. I'm stumped! Tom
