anyone use procomp lights
i am wanting to get some lights on my bumper and was thinking about 4) 6" ProComp 100w lights.
for about 50bucks a pair, i dont mind if the housing rusts a bit.. ill just re paint it when it does.
but do they give off a decent amount of light? any other input or opinions about these lights...

I have 2 700FF which are kind of a flood light, and 2 500's which are more of a spot light/longer distance light.
They are both 55w, but when all 4 are on, they really give plenty of light. My HID headlights are very bright, but dont project out that far, the Hellas really make up for that.

you'll be sorry you got the procomp lights once you see a set of the kragen HID's. If you want you can order them and ship em to me, then I'll send em back your way when yuo're in CA or just wait and order them once you're out here. IT might cost a little more, but the lights are way brighter.

the 4 procomps will give you 4 spots of light, the 2 kragen lights will give you a wide spread of light and will be much better for you, not going fast. Trust me on this and dont cheap out on the lights. You will spend more money in the long run getting what you want. The kragen hid's are not top quality but for the price I think they are way worth it.

3 Hella 700FF in a Driving beam Work Really well in all hours of darkness we get up here, and a set of Hella Micro FF's have taken the chore of flood light duites... 55w does'nt sound like much but the reflector (FF) makes all the difference in the world...
Driving beam sounds like what your looking for,
I had 3 100w KC's on a Jeep with pencil beams and they really reached but for me and my application (Fourwheeling threw trees and driving dark highways) the Driving beam works!!! I had them down in Mississippi last Feb. and Counted 35 deer in an hour of driving had I not had the extra light I probably wouldn't have seen them..
I paid $89 for the pair of 700FF's I had to special order the third (new model at the time) the micro FF's were $159

Im suprised nobody said get KC's!
honestly, HID is the best route to go. i like what justin did in putting xenon bulbs in the procomp housing. those Kragers sound like a good too if you can find them.
I would like to upgrade my Hellas to HID. What I really like about the Hella 500 and 700 is the plastic housing (and the price)... even stainless steel will rust at some point thats the main reasons I went with these over KC or procomp.
