So nephew has a 2.9l 1987 ranger 4x4 It won't start seems like not getting gas,has gas. Things we have done. Changed fuel filter inline not canister, cleaned air filter box and changed filter, changed and gap spark plugs, checked distributor with spark test, new battery new terminals, flushed and replace hoses on radatior.
We can hear the fuel pump on chassis when key is is turned but not all the way cranked, so I go with it getting power will do voltage test. We also put a little starting fluid I. The air filter compartment and tried it ran till it was gone then pooped. So going with it just not getting Gas going to do fuel pressure check next. ANY IDEAS WELCOME
