This is a tutorial on how to modify a stock radio bezel to fit a double din head unit. This tutorial assumes you know how to install a stereo and how to remove the radio bezel.

Supplies
(1) Double din head unit
Attachment 115565
(1) Install Kit
Attachment 115566
(1) Dremel / Rotary Tool

The first thing you will notice is that a double din does not fit into the stock radio bezel. This is due to a small lip on the top and bottom of the radio opening.

We need to remove these with our dremel tool. I put my tool on a slower setting and just took my time sanding down the top and bottom lip.

Once the lips are removed the head unit can slide into the bezel. I got a free sosche install kit with my unit so depending on what you purchase this part may differ. The kit came with two plastic pieces that snap onto the left and right side of the radio bezel opening. Next just slide your unit from the back into the radio bezel. Then screw these plastic pieces onto the head unit. The screws that came with my Kenwood were too short, if you might need longer ones as well.

Once you screw the install kit to the unit all that is left is to snap on the trim around the head unit. My kit has been giving me trouble so be prepared to fiddle with it for a bit.

And you're done. All that's left is wiring the harness up and placing the unit into your dash.
