2009 Grill Replacement - Trade Complete 4/14
Is there a 2009 Ranger owner with a color matched, Vista Blue Metallic grill that would like to make an even swap for my all chrome grill?
Here's my grill.

classifieds maybe?
but id suggest color match too...it'd look better...and if you got that black one, it wouldnt match the texture/color of ur bumper either and would look cheaply done imo

and no it wont. the grille is like a flat black, where as ur bumper is a glossish black

Well color matched grills came from the factory, I'm sure you could find a paintable grill, but I'm not sure you can find one to match your truck exactly w/o going to the yard to get it off a similar truck.

There are a couple, but then I am still stuck with a grill, unless I then put it up for sale on the classifieds. I guess that is possible. Or the local Craigs list.

Thanks guys, for all the help. Good ideas. I like the Lazler quote too. Maybe I should ask the wife to swap grills from her Lincoln MKX? How far do you think I'd get?? ;-)

See attached pic below....
Anyway....I bet you can find someone with a XL black grille, scuff it and shoot it in Vista. Vista Sports are pretty flippin' rare to find. I've never seen one in real life and I don't even know if we have a member with one. This is like the only pic I got of one...

shane.. isnt there a guy up by you with a vista sport? im blanking on his name but i think hes in your neck of your woods.. PNW that is. i think his avatar is the sport decal on his truck.. not sure tho.
op, aftermarket stock replacement grilles are a hundred bucks. and there paintable. so that might be an idea.. thats what im running on my truck due to a winter mishap. and i painted it with a spray can and it matches really well.

Couldn't you take the chrome off the grill and paint it? I've taken chrome off of stuff from my old trucks to paint, I didn't know if you could do that to these grills

I sure would like to see a close up photo of someones all black grill. I can't imagine that the OEM flat black grill wouldn't match the sheen of the lower fog light valence.

Google search. Only difference there is he has all black plastic bumper, and you have color matched.
OR... you could do an STX grille, which would look sweet. Like this one.
