Alternator isn’t working
It was practically flooded for West Texas and I drove through some big puddles now my battery light is on a when truck is running

Most likely just a blown fuse
What year Ranger and what engine?
Always include that to get best and faster answers
I can tell you which fuses to check
Also if you have a volt meter I can tell you how to test charging system wiring
