What good will it be with no mounting brackets? Can it be used that way?

MudSlanger 12-06-2009 05:36 PM

Well i have mounting brackets but I attempted to modify them so it could work with my body lift. You can buy mounting brackets for this or make them, it isnt that hard!

coleary15 12-06-2009 06:26 PM

MudSlanger 12-06-2009 07:40 PM

MudSlanger 12-12-2009 07:53 PM

how about 60 shipped?

puddlejumper 12-12-2009 08:02 PM

when u say u modified the mounting brackets what did u do? can they still be used? because the mounting kit is goin for around 50 and i don't have a welder.

MudSlanger 12-12-2009 08:11 PM

What i did was took the front brackets and cut 3 inches off them and welded them back together so when you install them on a body lifted truck, it is tucked under the bumper nicely. BUT there is another bracket that attaches to the front bracket(the one i modified) that i would still need to modify. What this bracket does is keep the bar from moving back and forth and for extra support

The back bracket would need to be cut 3inches and welded back up in order for it to mount back up to both the frame and front bracket. If I do that, then ill include the brackets and id sell all of it for 75 shipped.

Do you have a 3 inch body lift? If not then these brackets wont work for you

puddlejumper 12-12-2009 08:14 PM
