I'm bodylifted too and my hooks fit right behind the valance, whenever I need to use them I just pop the valance off. So they would work for you

 

tow hook mod guys it works for both styles of hooks ive done the mod to both styles.

 

these wont work on a 2wd right?? if i recall isnt there another metal bar on the front bumper support that the 4wd has that the 2wd doesnt??

i have a '99 ranger 2wd. i was asking if these will fit on my truck. i was under the impression that the 4wd has some kind of extra metal beam behind the front bumper that these mount to, that the 2wd models do not have. will these fit my '99 2wd???

 

No it won't fit your truck, it doesn't have the crossmember. The 2wd EDGE trucks like mine have it which is why I asked.
