Jet Chip part #80402 - KY

Jet chip for sale in Lexington Kentucky. Had it in my 2004 4.0 Ranger about a year and a half to two years. Works great. Upgrading to a programmer. $125.00 + shipping. Don't have the box but I do still have the installation instructions.

What are the benefits of this chip. I was always told " Rangers can't be chipped":boggled: Obviously they were wrong.

Ranger04 04-20-2010 07:49 PM

I noticed a difference on bottom and top end. Gas mileage was a little better. About 1-2 mpg. Throttle response improved . I ran it on 89 octane most of the time. When I needed a little more pep for towing or offroading I ran 93 and you can tell a difference between the to.

do you still have the chip?

Ranger04 05-26-2010 03:17 AM

Yes I do.

pittbulldan 05-29-2010 11:57 AM

Would you take 100? if i met you somwhere close to lexington? Did it help at all? Did you still fight with your top speed?

Ranger04 05-29-2010 07:28 PM

If you can get to Lexington 100.00 is fine. I would think the gas mileage to get here would be a lot more than the shipping. I havent had my truck over 75 so I don't know about the top speed. As far as the performance difference I posted about that a little earlier.
