Mine does it to, you could buy a new one, but its one of those things where you can just say F*** it and spend your money on something better!

I would be happy to deal with that over not knowing how much fuel I have in the tank, other than guesstimating with the trip meter.

I dont know about everyone else, but my truck gets pretty consistently around 235- 250 miles to a tank. Depends how much i play around. But thats generally how i know when to fill mine for sure.

i also use trip meter. i usualy on put 40 in giving me 3/4 of tank maby and i get 160 to 200 out of that. one day it gets 10 mpg next ill get 18 to 20. guess it depends on weather and how i drive it. but still be nice to not have to be like oh **** im out of gas... oh wait im going down a hill or wooooo i have a full tank

Ford isn't known for the fuel gauges.
It'll fluctuate as you drive, mine does it too.

My ranger does it, had a older volvo that did that too. Its nothing dramatic. But if i drive consistantly downhill for several miles, it will go down like an eighth of a tank, and then jump back up when i get on level ground. Doesnt bother me at all really.

its normal. the thing just floats in the tank. if you have a scan gauge you can see it fluctuate as you drive since the fuel is moving around in the tank.
