Stock CD Player (IL)

Anyone have their Stock CD player layin around? It is for my 97 Ranger. I would want it in near mint condition if possible. Let me see what you've got!!

I would really like to have a stock MP3 player but not sure if it would fit in my older 97.

Thanks!

Here is the exact one I have now. Not my pic (from Flebay)

Looks like it would fit. Not sure of the harness plug though. Did they change the harness on '01 and up??

I have a Pioneer CD6 from an 01 Explorer/Ranger with Pioneer/OEM Component Speakers for the front and 6x8s for the rear.

This is the only pic I can find.
I will look for another if you need it.
Radio looks like OEM Ranger 03 CD6 but has silver face.
Have a silver bezel without switches but it is a little rough, will need some paint to look right but will throw it in.

Make an offer… + shipping (? $20-25?) !

The Pioneer CD-6 has a larger connector on the rear where you can hook up either a Multi-Disk CD Changer or an iPod adapter $ 3.5 mm Plug, all controllable through the Radio.

BUT ! it does have a Silver Face…

He has not shown any interest, he is more of the Black MP3 type.

So does that mean I wouldn't be able to put a 2007+ radio in my 99'? Been looking to buy a cheap stock radio replacement for my 99' with hopefully Mp3 and an Aux jack.

AFAIK with my limited research on this, as long as it will physically fit in the dash you should be fine amd half way there. If not then cutting and/or modifying is in your near future!!

I think they changed the harness in 2001 so you would have to get a conversion cable or make your own. I'm gonna just make my own for the 02 radio going in my 97. Just get a radio aftermarket install kit from Wal-mart for half of the harness. Go to Junkyard and cut out the other half from a newer ranger. Solder them both together voila!!

Thanx, I'm guessing a 08'+ OEM Double din Ranger radio should fit in my 99's double din no problem. Harness was mainly the only concern. As long as I can find a cheap OEM radio.... If there was an affordable aftermarket double din that did MP3, AUX in, I would grab that instead.

The stock CD player in my 99 works perfectly, I'm looking for a modern one mainly for AUX in so I can hook up my phone for music and such.
