Tremor 510 watt subwoofer unit complete N CA
6 Attachment(s)
Asking $60. This thing works great, if you:
(1) have the radio/CD/mp3 unit that goes with it (this no longer does) or- (2) you know how to wire this beast into your existing sound system (I don't). I have added a pic of the plug coming off the radio. Item is covered with original dark black carpet (bright sun made the pic look too light) This was in my 89 year-old Dad's truck he bought used, when the CD went bad I (stupidly) replaced it with an off-the-shelf unit (almost none of the wiring matched the new radio). I am trying to sell this to pay myself back for all the aggravation I went through installing the radio, now that he's in assisted living and gave me the truck. Item is in Sunnyvale CA |
Sorry to Hy-Jack your thread but wondering if this is the unit that is needed.

This is pointed at anyone lookin in this thread:
does anyone know if it'll hook up to the stock fm/cd/aux radio? Good price on both items but I'm not looking to upgrade my HU, just add to it. |

The Tremor deck has a "remote on" for the amp...a regular oem deck probably doesnt so youd also have to run that yourself. If you have a 4-door model ranger, youd have to remove the jump seats and seat belts from the doors. Ford sells the lil cover panels for the seat belt slots on the door, looks clean. |
There isn't enough room under the jump seats?

you could, it would just take some work. Youd have to run wires to the amp, them from the amp to the speakers. I added a Tremor deck and sub/amp to my non-Tremor ranger...wasnt hard.

Alterkakker, Sorry for taking up your space on this thread but at least it is in the open. |
To put this in the back of a "4 door" ranger you DO NOT need to remove the jump seats or the seat belts. BUT, the seats will not fold down with this in the back. If you have the Tremor head unit, installation is not difficult IF you can get the harness that runs from the radio to the amp.

Looks like I am totally off the wall with my suggestion. I thought the connector was a 20 pin, as the CD6’s are. Sorry for any confusion, wrong connector for the Pioneer CD6 I am selling. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/c...ger/ford20.jpg |
What year was the truck/cab size and where did it mount? I just bought a 2011 extra cab and this would be a nice stock appearing upgrade. I just can't picture where it fits in the extra cab, or if it would work on mine as far as mounting it. Wiring can be worked around, I just don't want to hack the interior to install it.
|
If the wiring is no problem it would work in a single cab, just mount it straight up or at an angle with the rear of the seats. Yes it takes up space but get a bed box and then the space thing disappears.
It should fit flat in the back on the extra cab. |
Space isn't a problem for me, just two of us and it's an extra cab with no rear doors. It was an xlt base model. Decent interior, but no extracab doors which was fine. I will never use the rear jump seats, I just have never saw the interior of a Ranger with the Tremor sound system and how it fits. I don't want to drill holes into the trim, but if I can use factory mounting points or something that won't destroy the look if I ever remove it, I'd love to buy it. The factory radio is a singe cd with Sirius and an ipod jack in mine, not sure how hard it would be to adapt but it can be done. I can deal with what I have, but a sub sure would make it nicer.
