Waag Push Bar
 

I am looking for a Waag Push Bar (the small type, think it was called the "Sportster") complete with mounting brackets for my 2002 Ranger. Any help is appreciated.

If you are not already aware, they don't make them anymore and I never see used ones come up for sale.

Mine was involved in a head on collision with me stopped and the other vehicle was still moving at least 20 mph. The bottom cross bar got bent and the mounting brackets got tweaked a little. I was bummed because I knew I would not be able to find another. I then realized I could cut out the bent part of the cross bar and weld in a new piece. I was also able to reshape the mounting brackets in a vice with a big hammer. Once done and repainting it looked good as new.

The good thing is it saved the front of my Ranger. There was zero body damage. The only damage was to the WAAG bar and my cost was $50 for the welding by a professional. Everything else was just my labor and some paint I already had. They other vehicle sustained about $1200 in damages. I guess that is justice for not looking where he was going.

Thanks for the reply. From what I have read I realize this is a discontinued product and likely a hard item to find. But it looks good. I find most of the current push bars are too big and "overwhelm" the look of the ranger. I am considering cutting up and resizing a police push bar. But it would require fabricating my own brackets. Time will tell.
