Who wants to trade beds? Black stepside for regular bed - IN

Is this possible? My truck is black. Very few light scratches near the top, I'd give the overall condition a 9-9.5 out of ten. I'll even throw in my tinted tail lights on the deal.

Seems they are the same size only the step side isn't as wide. Some people like the stepside, some don't. I am not a fan. Some people love them for the ability to step in, others like the retro bed look.

Red_Ak_Ranger 10-01-2010 09:02 PM

your tinted taillights look very nice. Good job

Headz 10-01-2010 10:43 PM

You'd probably have better luck trying to trade your rims.

I won't trade them IMO they're the best looking wheels Ford ever put on the ranger.

95lorange 10-02-2010 04:40 PM

That's exactly what I'm looking for. If only you were closer, lol.

ChargerOnDavins 10-02-2010 05:24 PM

Ugh I know, right? Wish I could trade too!

spect8r 10-02-2010 09:46 PM

I'll do it just don't know how with us living about 12 hours apart. I'm one of the ones who like the step-side. I believe yours is in better shape than mine but who knows?

what year is she? I am looking for one similar in year, I just painted my fender and realized what only 7 years of fading made a HUGE difference in color

You can use a bed from a 1993-current.

Thank you. I meant my only concern is the fading. My 2003 has faded A LOT from the sun, I don't think anyone would be happier with a non-matching truck bed. I'd say 2000-2006 is about the only safe range for this.

All depends on the truck and how it was taken care of. I've seen 17y/o rangers with paint just as good as new and it was factory paint.

True but it probably wouldn't match. I care for my paint well, wax 5x a year, still different in color.

IMO, I don't think people care for pickup trucks as well as they do for cars/SUV's. Just my experience.

another bump!

I wax 1, sometimes 2 times a month....
that is taking good care of your truck ;)

waxing 5x times a yr is taking average/recommended care.
but then again, Im in SFL where the sun is super damaging to the paint, so its sort of a given you need to wax more often than in northern climates.

fx4wannabe 10-08-2010 06:00 PM

i would but my bed all beat to hell from offroding ... i love step sides .. goodluck witg the trade

if it was in the same condition and matched i would trade. I don't know how to find out without really screwing one or both of us lol

do you polish your gutter guard too?

Bird76Mojo 10-13-2010 07:17 PM

I was waxing my truck twice a month during the summer.. Now that it's harvest season with all the grain dust from the elevator a block from my house, it's not even worth it.

GB :)
