Icon14 04 LED Cluster (Calling JP7)

So I'm going to start my LED cluster swap. I plan on ordering a spare cluster to work on. I need 10 360 degree 5mm LEDs from superbrightleds and how many resistors? Is there anyway I can plug the cluster up outside the truck to see how it looks?

Ummm - you can use 10 but I used 20. Its going to be hard to get it even with less like that..

5 rows of 4 leds per row, with 100ohm's on each one.

Mods: you should make my original cluster thread a sticky - we get alot of threads like this for 2004+'ers.

Find my original thread for all of the pictures: search "LED CLUSTER"

You will NEED NEED NEED NEED aftermarket needles if you want blue. They wont show with the stock needles. I used the GM ones that I ordered from "rusty" at usspeedo.com, you need to call him and specifically make sure to remind him the 2004 Ford Truck needles DO NOT WORK for our trucks.

Buy your resistors from digikey.com, get a shnitload of them, in different sizes. I bought a resistor variety pack with about a billion different ones. You will need to calculate the resistances to work with 14.4 volts, not 12. I would be glad to help more, or even do it for you (not free $$) Everybody on here knows my products and services are top notch so don't hesitate to ask. You can test the look of it like I did above (in my kitchen with the lights off) by just buying a small 12V transformer from radioshack. To get juice to the LED's I soldered the connections to one of the little bulb holder guys and screwed it in the stock spot of any one of the 5 holes in the back. Help is free, me doing it is not. My original thread should get you most of the way there, don't forget to watch my needles video.
