2006 FX4 Shifter

I am looking to putting an FX4 shifter in my 05 XLT and wondered if anyone had any part numbers or pictures of an 05 or 06 FX4 Shifter and shifter ****? I wondered if these years are any different than the parts listed in the "How to shifter install" ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't have any pictures of mine or part numbers, but I can tell you that the old shifter and the new one will swap out easily. Simply unbolt one and bolt the new one on.

Heres the numbers for you: FX4 arm: 1L5Z7210BC, Shift ball: 1L5Z7213AA. There is a page on how to swap them out here it is:

Here's the installed shot in a regular shifter console:

Don't forget you'll need to either make a boot or buy an aftermarket one. Can't use a stock fx4 one i think. Can't wait to do mine.

Isn't it the same part? I think the only thing that changed after 2003 was the t-case shifter and boot disapeared. On my 2003 the trans and t-case shifters are seperate. The entire assembly is 2 part, w/ the exception of the trim ring that secures to the floor.

Or are you asking about that trim ring too? I could see that the '04+ assembly, including trim ring could be a direct swap to a non LII truck, now that the t-case lever and cutout is out of the picture..

Really? I thought it was faux-chrome, like in the '02/'03.. just w/o the t-case part.

If it is the same, then maybe there is a new boot that works w/ the regular cup holder assembly.

We need some illustrations. Who's got a '04+ LII w/ the manual trans?

Here's what mine looks like in an 04. I think this boot will work with the stock console. it appears to be the same as mine.

Thanks for everything guys. I didn't realize Ford removed the transfer case lever on the 04-06. And my original question was if the arm or the ball changed part numbers since 03 but I am assuming they are the same. Boy that boot will look nice on my 05 XLT since the cupholder assembly is the same as what I have. I just hope I can get the boot, shifter, and **** at a decent price! Thanks for the pictures!

Just as background: the '02 FX4 and '03 FX4 LII's had a manual transfer case on trucks equipped w/ the manual trans. Starting in '04 they eliminated the manual t-case and went back to the electric t-case, but kept the fancy shifter. Trucks equipped w/ the automatic had the electric t-case for all years.

I was going to do the old routine:

but I thought it was unnecessarily rude.....
