2002 Ranger w/2002 Mountaineer

I have completed the 60/40 seat conversion to buckets and am attempting to install a 2002 Mountaineer floor console. I am really having an issue with the console being too wide.

Has anyone successfully completed this swap before? Do you have to trim the seats or the console to make it work?

In 02, ford changed the floor pans in the mountaineer and explorer. 01 and older had the ranger floor pan. It will not be a perfect fit.

Thanks, guess I'll go back and get an 01 console and give that a try. It's only money!
