Wouldn't mind a display in my truck with the outside temperature. Has anyone ever put one of these in?

 

Many have installed an Explorer overhead console in their Rangers, it has outside temp and compass heading, also extra dome light

There are quite a few 3rd party units as well
You can get just one for outside temp
Or outside and inside temp
plus other data like voltage direction, ect

You need 12v and ground hook up, some are lit all the time others have a hook up to vehicles lights, like dash lights
You can run the outside thermometer wire thru Parking brake cable grommet, or if automatic, thru that cables grommet
Best to put thermometer out of wind stream and out of engine bay, like down between inner and outer fenders
