2008 interior/exterior repairs during "misplaced" cats
Hello all, long time reader, first time poster.
Truck is a 2008 Ford Ranger 4.0L 4x4 Sport, 132,000 kms. A month or two ago, I was visited by two late night chaps who needed my catalytic converters more than I did I suppose.
I don't want to start a debate on the legality of exhaust components.... But while i'm waiting on ebay parts and my bud to have free time to weld up the gaps, I did a walkaround.
Interior has rubber floors, and I was negligent on replacing a few plastic trim pieces during the winter that hid my improved stereo system. I peeled back some additional flooring, and it seems a bit rusty.
Exterior, specifically under the lower door frame (not the door, the lower metal rail) is accumulating some rust.
My long term goal was to rock guard the lower trim, bumpers, and fender flares, to mimic the level 2 ranger trim.
As for the interior, I am open to suggestions to improve sound deadening.
Main Question: Taking into consideration what I have found, and what I have in mind as an end game, what are your suggestions to properly prime said rust?
Thank you again for all the useful reading you have given me over the years. I'm very grateful.
