60/40 to 40/40
Ok so i really dont want to cut my seats, but it looks like im gonna have to.... does any1 know something else i could do? like can i get the mounting brackets off the bottom of the seats and mount new seats to it? or something... lol. Im new to all this Ranger Moding.. i have a 03 Ranger XLT Stnd Cab. I greatly appreicate the opinions.
Why not cut your seats? It gives you buckets, its simple, free, and not to mention it looks good if done right. For a while i was afraid to even think of hacking up the interior of my truck but eventually I did it and regret not doin it sooner. Check out this link:https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=58990 It shows my 60/40 turned into 40/40. Maybe it'll give you the push you need to start yours....
....
i dont have a big with cutting the seat its just there wont be an armrest... and i know some will say get a center console... but i dont kno if i want taht. i really wanna build a custom sub box that comes up the middle and behind the seats.. i dont kno tho.. so any sugestions?
ok so if i do decide to cut my seats, is there a more indepth how to, then the one in the how to forums, cause its just like unmount seats, cut them, and your done! wooo. So any1 have abetter way of doing it. if u can send me like a link or a prvt msg with better instructions.

I did it in my old truck. Its very easy if your handy, and on my seats I didn't lose the armrest because it mounted to the side of the seat.
Remove the seat, only 4 bolts hold it 2 the floor. I cut out all the foam of the middle seat and there is a metal frame inside of it all, cut that off with a 5" grinder. Then i carefully cut the rest of the foam to follow the contours of the seat side. once I did that folded the extra material down, figured out where the front right side seat had to be re-sown, pulled the fabric off the seat, hand sewed it, pulled it back over, cut off the excess, and bolted it all back in. It's not to hard, takes some time and skill.
