Single DIN modification for future switches

I recently upgraded my stereo with a single-DIN unit and the mounting kit has that little pocket to store small items such as cell phones and such. What I would like to do is to find a cover for that pocket since I do not use it. What I want to do is to put in a few switches there for lights (fog, driving, reverse, etc).

If anyone has any ideas, I would surely appreciate it.

I made my panels from textured ABS sheets.
If you'd be interested in one, drop me a PM

Yep, and one of the others activates Mr. Fusion... He bought it here:

Back To The Future Time Machine Mr Fusion Krups BTTF - eBay (item 120597939327 end time Dec-16-10 0602 PST)

He also got the flux capacitor from Egay:

LOL @ you guys!

The 3 fog switches control: OEM fogs, aux driving lights & aux reverse lights.

I've since removed the 4 switches above the radio... flame thrower, oil slick, cloaking device & turbo boost.

Yes, something like that and when I get some money, (I am unemployed right now) I will probably order some of that textured plastic. I too put my stereo underneath the pocket but the switches I am looking at are like aluminum sticks with the on indicator light on the end and I think they come in different colors so I would do yellow for the fogs, blue for the driving lights and red for the reverse/auxillary lights.

That is a very nice install and I love that voltmeter!

Just shoot me a PM whenever you're ready, I need to make up some more blank panels.
