Basically yes. But switching a board is VERY easy.

I haven’t tried the gauge faces yet because they were just shipped yesterday so I will test what I have first then attempt some sort of backing material… then take out the Plug-Ins and try some extra tape lights.

thanks for the thought.

i am very interested in how this comes out. i want to do something with my cluster because half of the lights are out. i wanted to do the led's but i also do not want the hot spots. hopefully this works out and we will then have a new way to light the clusters without hotspots.

LOL, I appreciate your enthusiasm but this is not a new trick. Some of you should be browsing the forum on www.hidplanet.com. You will see modified clusters that blow your mind.

I got the Gauge Faces in the Mail on Saturday, no time over the weekend but hopefully today I will attempt the mounting to the metering portion of the gauges.
As I said in one of my post the idea of the Strip LEDs, although I thought of it earlier, the credit goes to Black Cat Custom Gauges along with the pic.

I should have the LEDs sometime this week and will post pics as soon as I can.

So far the lighting isn’t the way i want it to be, a few shadows and the Light diffuser under the faces is causing me some heart ache (chk out the lighter red coloring on the edges) but we are getting there.

This is basicly how the LED Strip lighting will be but I still need to secure the strip to the plastic; it is not sticking well.

I wipe mine with rubbing alcohol and you really have to peel to get them off.
