New Gauges....

Here they are....

Last year I showed pics to some of you, but now they're finally in....

Here's a pic of my old cluster (mid-swap, hence the droopy steering wheel)

Name: DSCF0276.jpg
Views: 87
Size: 41.9 KB

And here's a pic of the gauge cluster that went in....

Name: DSCF0870.jpg
Views: 78
Size: 39.3 KB

And finally, a pic of them "in action"....

Name: Speed1.jpg
Views: 51
Size: 35.2 KB

For those that don't know, I painted the Saleen letters onto the Tach, using a stencil I made with some 3M tape we use at work with transferral of imaging.....I then cut the letters out with an exacto knife, and CAREFULLY painted the black gloss on....

Big thanks to Josh Smith on RPS for the install help....his truck was featured in this month's Minitruckin (Dark Blue '99 Ranger, bagged).

Couldn't have done it w/o him!!

So, whatcha think?

Sort of.....you need a needle puller....and pray to God that you get em on straight...

I just swapped inthe entire cluster.....MUCH easier...

It took Josh maybe 30 minutes to do it, STF.

What brand of paint did you use? I don't want something that'll crack up and fall off. I'm planning on putting ford racing on mine

Looks good! I installed the same ones in my old truck. You should looking into getting the matching Gear Indicator. I Think it cleans it up nicely. I think when I bought it, it was only around $11.

Here is a pic with the matching indicator.

^^^^

I had thought about that, but in a way I knind of like the black, and when it's lit up at night, it really blends in.

My ONLY complaint with the new gauges is the backlighting on the odometer....one white light in a sea of green lights....talk about clashing!
