i usually have 2-3 of those little tree air fresheners in my truck, every now and then ill spray febreze....but ask anybody that has been in a 5 foot radius of my truck, you can smell my trucks "new car scent" goodness from 5 feet away if i have the windows down hahah.

I've had friends with air fresheners in their cars and they are so strong it burns my eyes or makes them water a bit. It's almost worse than getting into a smoker's car.

Scotchguard. I apply it day one on any new vehicle. A good liberal first coat, and then minor touch ups every 6 or 12 months keeps the smells out. It also pays to not eat in your car, and keep it vacuumed.

They have some odor neutralizer in home depot that might help it. Its in the cleaning section if you wanna look there
