Shift Extension for LVL II

I have a fx4 with lvl II manual transmission and 4wd shifter and a 3 inch body. Does anyone else have this combination, and if so how did you extend your 4wd shifter.

Rangerboy03lvl2 had that combination on his. He might be able to give you some direction. Good luck - there is very little clearance within the shift bezel even without a lift.

It bolts on with two bolts through a rubber isolator. Simply extending the height of the arm would actually be very easy. The problem is that it would also extend the stroke of the arm where it passes through the floor bezel. The shifter almost hits in the stock configuration and this would make it far worse.

From those that I have seen, they haven't used the shifter extension for either the gear selector or the t-case selector. The chrome arm is shaped in a way that makes it work pretty well regardless of the body lift.

I ended up widening the floorboard around the T-Case shifter, without and extension. I was hitting the floorboard and couldnt get into 4-Low. It works fine now.

Also, zach, I was under the assumption that the 04+LVL II's didnt have the manual trans. Case, even with a manual trans.

one other thing i swear i have heard this somewhere back in the day. that the 02-03 lvl II manaul shifters the acual shifter on the trans not the one inside is identical to the 80's rangers that used to come with manual transfercase shifters. and i swear PA they sell an extention for the 80's manual transfercase shifters

nope cant find the extention on the site
