black headliner

I am looking for a black headliner. I dont want to spend the $400 to buy a new one from Ford (thats what the stealership quoted me).

Does anyone know of a place to buy new headliners online? -OR- is there a way to make mine black? I dont want to paint it...

Thanks

did you have to remove the headliner to apply this stuff?

also, I was considering this, but am worried about it coming off if it gets hot. How has it held up so far?

Ya you may not have one local in your area.

Any hobby store that sales fabric should have it.

If you cant find it I can get it for you I paid 15.00 for a HUGE amount of this stuff. I still have some left over

Theres two different 3M spray glues that they sell, they are like two different numbers or something. One is a lot stronger then the other, but its harder to find. Don't do it unless you use the stronger one. I was going to do suede headliner in my truck a while ago, before I saw anyone else on here do it. So I did a bunch of research and everyone said make sure you use the stronger stuff, the other will sag eventually. Lol I have the suede in my room but got lazy and couldn't find the better stuff either so I never did it. I'll try and find what the better stuff is and what the crappier stuff is.

That was fast, I found it. The "77" is the crappy one, the "90" is the one you want.

Also helps to have someone help you do it.

3 people would work out best if you can get 2 other people. That way 2 people can stretch it out and 1 person work it from the middle out while they hold it tight

OK, sounds good.

How bout your door panels? did you remove the factory cloth, or just glue the suede over the top? I will have plenty left over to do this, so i might as well so it matches
