the only other place i could think to mount the cb was under the dash....id have to do a little fabbing to the floor mounted cup holder so it would fit at an angle. id have to relocate the passenger airbag switch either way. has anyone put a cb in the explorer center console if i was willing to do the mod? i think that would look alot cleaner. id like to see some pics if anyone has em. thanks!

I velcroed mine to the back of my FX4 console. I can't see the display and it's a bit of a reach for the *****, but it's out of the way and it stays in place. No drilling or anything permanent. I don't use my CB often, but when I do, it's not difficult to lean back and adjust the channel. Volume I can find by feel. It works for me, but it might not work for you.
