Can you put child seats in rear of supercab?

My wife and I are expecting our 2nd baby, and we will soon have the need for 2 car seats. My wife hates sitting in the jump seats as it is with our son sitting as a king in the front passenger side (with the airbag deactivated of course). I of course want to do this safely, so if there is a way perhaps I will look into it. Other than that, we may need a larger truck (F150 crewcab..)

(Currently have 2004 Ranger Edge Supercab A/T)

Well, there are definately none of those child seat hooks in the back, thats for sure. Also the conventional seatbelts hold the rider against the side of the door. There is very little forward restraint with this design. It might be fine for something the shape of a human. However I can't see that actually holding a child seat in place. I don't think it will work.

NO! It says specifically in the owners manual not to. I was also warned by the dealer in his pre sale lecture on the dos and don't on the truck.

I personally would never put a child in the back seats of a ranger, in a child seat or other wise i would never put a child in the back of a ranger
I would look into a new truck, ford is running awsome deals on their 2007's right now, you can get a nicely set up super cap for about 24K
Just my input

Also i just noticed you are from ohio, check your local ford dealer because they are also running a 25% off deal on new trucks and also 0% financing(at least they claim)

Ford offer me free child seat ankor for the supercab jumper seats, it took them an hour to install it. my truck was a year old at that time. to find out, but you have to asked the service dept for that child seat ankor installation for the jumber seats. the seat still facing sideway and it fits perfectly on the jumper seat.:) though i share that experance. :)

when my daughter was born we had a '88 2wd supercab ranger. i threaded the seatbelt thru the child seat, and used rubber tarp straps to keep it in place. it worked well, i had no fear of using it. there certainally wasnt any room up in the front for it. she turns 13 friday and is almost too big for the jumpseats in my '93 now.
