i hate it... pain the ass to clean in the sense that it always looks dirty around the seats and corners its like random stuff collects out of no where. some how my old truck was always sticky like pop is spilled after a few weeks when there wasnt..

its noisy compared to carpet.. crap slides everywhere on it like tools or anything nothing stays put..

and got to love the people that are like "oh go muddin its great bla bla water in it no problem".. well it isnt water proof it will leak all over down to the sub pan and there is still jute under it to soak all that up..

I hate mine on my f-150 and swapped out for carpet...

freddie 01-30-2009 09:46 AM

I've had the vinyl floor for 3-4 weeks now, and I love it. In comparison to my carpet, which I shampooed almost obsessively, this stuff is easy. Maybe its because i'm a "hick", and live in the country, but the vinyl allows me to use it more like a truck, and not worry about getting mud on the carpet, etc.

04blackedge 01-30-2009 09:48 AM

Yep I've never had a problem with mine either

freddie 01-30-2009 09:57 AM

I traded carpet that was PERFECT for the vinyl. I was tired of the headache.
No matter which floormats I tried, they still let the carpet beneath them get wet, and hold water until spring. I ALWAYS tap my boots together before I get in to knock all the snow off. That doesn't always cut it, and snow still melted, ran off the floormats and onto the carpet underneath. I didn't like the idea of the carpet holding all that water. I was also tired of being so worried about muddy boots and rusty tools staining/coloring my carpet. The vinyl has been great so far. And I haven't noticed any difference in noise.

zabeard 01-30-2009 10:01 AM

Id possibly trade but I am not driving to ohio...

My carpet is that pretty black... :)

Redneckstone 01-30-2009 10:01 AM

you can still get water under neith the vynal its very easy it leaks between the rocker and it and it doesnt breath so its locked in till you take it up..

i havent had a problem ever with my carpet and my mats..you could also have a cab leak causing problems

korey89 01-30-2009 10:40 AM

I agree with Zach, I hate the vinyl floor. I had no advantage to having it, it was noisier, you could feel the heat from the exhaust through it, it was always dirty, and IMO made the truck feel like a beater work truck inside. Which is why I swapped mine out lol.

freddie 01-30-2009 10:48 AM

I'm considering doing something that will allow water underneath the vinyl floor to drain out through the bottom of the cab, without letting outside water in.

zabeard 01-30-2009 10:52 AM

id just leave it. I have flooded my floor numerous times... it all still works and looks fine. lol

98liftedranger 01-30-2009 10:59 AM

Vinyl floor is better. Take a hose to it and your good to go!

freddie 01-30-2009 11:00 AM

How does water even get close to your floorboards? Lmao At the Cracker Barrel meet, I was confused on how to even climb up into that beast Lol.

your not on the list to come to the dunes are you? surely your coming!

freddie 01-30-2009 11:13 AM

Umm, I forget the date? Lol

I really don't know yet. In a way, I'd rather just save my money, and maybe take my 98 to a fall meet or something, how's that sound?

I'd love to come, but I'd be in my 01, which is vertically challenged lol.
