Icon14 1999 Ford Ranger: Interior Water leak on Pass. side floor

Hello, I have been searching the archives and have hopefully found some answers. Although, I'm not sure I have found my particular cause of my interior leak. Here goes, I have had a water leak on the passenger side floorboard of my 1999 Ford Ranger Extended Cab, 3.0. I didn't think it was the heater core but finally EVERYONE convinced me it was! Well, after I saved up enough $$$$ and had the heater core replaced, it's still leaking! Obviously, it's coming from the outside in as we had a huge rain storm the other night and their was a big puddle on the pass. side floorboard! I can't figure out where it is coming from! It seems to be the worst by the sill plate. It travels to the back floor, if that helps? This leak has been bugging the heck out of me for some time now! Like say, almost 2 years! I don't want to have to replace my floorboards! I WOULD BE FOREVER GRATEFUL IF ANYONE COULD HELP! Thanks for any help in advance! It is greatly appreciated! Jack

Does the back of the cab wall get wet? That would be a third brake light.

You may need to lay towels down everywhere. On the dash, all overt eh floor, on the door, on the back wall, and even on the sun visor. Hopefully the towels will point you into the right direction.

You could also dump a couple gallons on the roof and let them run down the windshield to the cowl. After the water runs off so you can open the door. Look inside and see if its dripping or running down anywhere. It maybe easier to pull the carpet for this.

Thanks everyone. I'll have to do some more detective work. The back of my cab is dry so I think I can rule out the 3rd brake light. Although I think I will check everything! Thanks again! Jack
