My seats broken.. again...
So my seat is sticking. One of my friends had the same exact ranger and the same problem and the dealer told her that if a bigger person is pushing back on the seat really fast then it can stick. Well I have a friend who is quite large and she has done this to my seat two times now (and the other girls). The first one was about a year ago and I left it like that for about a month before I took it in because I needed something else fixed at the same time. Then, the same week I get it back she goes and does it again. What happens is when she is pushing it back she’s just pulling up the handle and like falling so it’s slamming into its lowest position. Then when she gets out of the truck and I go to put the seat back to its normal position so I can see out my back window it sticks. It’s really annoying and I haven’t had it fixed yet. She won’t admit to breaking it. I was on the phone with Zach asking him for help and I told him she broke it and she yelled at me about it (she’s not a good friend). So I left it because I’m stalling, what if she just does it again when I get it fixed! So now I’m hopefully getting it fixed soon but my warranty is up in like 6 months. So what I’m wondering is has anyone ever heard of this happening before? The first time I took it in they said the cable was broken and couldn’t figure out why. I talked to our family friend who worked on rangers for 20 some years and he has never heard of it either! So if anyone has heard of it and knows how to fix it without taking it in that would be great. I just know when I take it in she’s going to break it again; she doesn’t care about other people’s things. I know this is long, sorry.

sorry to hear that. your best bet is to get it taken care of under warrenty. say it was a faulty chair and started to act up recently. technically your not lying so. oh and dont leth that dumb girl in your truck or if she does charge here $0.75 per mile and gas. i think it would work. best of luck fixin the chair.

sara stop letting your morons friends get in your truck if they cant leave the seat ALONE, tell Love and monica not to touch the back part. if they do dont let them back in for god sakes. they have broken it what like 3 times now.
edit just re-read your whole thing...idk why you let love even in your truck after this stop being so nice...

if you don't want to tell your friends to be more careful with your stuff just go ahead and put the seat in the all the way back position before they get in. all tracks in all seat will fail if they take a dynamic load (impact) like that because they are not designed to take it. For an accident the seat will lock up like you said and from with i'm told that is by design

I just wouldn't let her in the truck again. You mess with my ride, and you're out of the circle of trust, no passing go, no collecting $200, no nothing. Heck, I don't even let people drive my truck except for family, and even with my family I'm weary. I like to think if something breaks, it's all my fault and I'm okay with that. I try to make my mods "Dad proof" because he has a habit of beating the crap out of his cars.
Granted, if you friend is so um, large, that she manages to break a seat by sitting in it, toss her a head of iceberg lettuce, give her a bag of rice and tell her to get her chubby **** on the treadmill and workout.
