I'm going to be doing the 60/40 mod soon and I've been looking at different center consoles to put in my truck. I found the style I like but I have a stick shift and I was wondering if I got this style if I would have enough room to shift. Thanks for any help!

You should have enough room. I know they made a full length explorer console for use with a manual

 

Looks like it'll fit to me. I think I have seen that console in Rangers before.

 

I had that style in my truck, but the newer version.. from an 03 ranger i believe. It is the style that the manual equipped FX4 Lvl2 comes with as well.

 

thanks guys! I just didn't want to get it and then not be able to shift into 2 or 4.

 

You wont have any problems shifting, but if you have a cup or bottle in those cup holders, your shifter will hit them. I found a different cup holder that places one in front of the other instead of side by side and it works alot better.

 

that is the exact console i put in my truck and it is also a maual...it is a great mod and looks real good in the end

What about a stock ranger center console....like out of an FX4??? Not the gargantuanly sized one....one off a 02-03?? That'd be pretty cool.

 

i had an expo sport 94 that was manual with that console, it works great until you put something in the cupholder, then :(

Yea I looked into one of those but I couldn't find one anywhere. I really like those console's too.
