I did aftermarket power locks, keyless entry, and power windows for $152 including shipping. I bought better looking switches and had to add a couple relays that didnt come with the kits so add a little more to that. You dont need new door skins, you can mount switches into the door handle bezels if you want. Also as long as you dont mind a black plug in your old crank hole that's it. Those plugs really dont look that bad either. Very shortly I be posting a thread of the install so maybe it can help someone out. For power mirrors I would never really need them.

There's also a local truck accessories place here that will do power locks and keyless entry for $50 per door. But if I went that way my windows wouldnt roll up when I lock my doors with the remote. ( I think that's nifty lol)

My girfriend actually got everything for me for christmas from emiata.com and everything works fine. If you're going to get different switches you need a few relays for the power windows because all the 5 terminal rest at ground switches are big and fugly. A couple diodes too if you want to be able to roll the windows up by remote. I have a few pics if you dont want to wait for my write up.

Here's the article I looked at for the locks:

http://www.a1electric.com/door_locks2.htm

And here's a few pics i took, I still have to take more and I apologize they were taken with my phone and shaky hands. But you get the idea:

Here's the window kit mechanical components installed:

The beginning of the wire mess:

Wiring cleaned up a little bit:

The 4 relays for the windows mounted:

There's also 2 relays for the locks, the keyless entry box, and another relay to change polarity for the parking lamp blinking.

Door wiring a little cleaned up:

The diodes between the keyless entry window up channel and the window relays:

The shield put back on the door:

And the passenger switches in the door panel:

That's all i got for now, need to take more pictures and I'm waiting for my new door panels, upgrading to xlt panels. When I get it all finished up I'll take better picks and do a more detailed write up.

One tip right away, when you take your door panels off put them inside somewhere safe. I left mine in the bed of my truck in a plastic bag for a couple days and they melted/deformed, hence the main reason for new xlt upgrade.

I did this modification to my 2005 XLT. It was some intensive wiring, as I used the factory power door panels and bezels. It's a little harder to wire it up using factory switches and harnesses just because you have to use a factory wiring diagram and pin out. But it was well worth the factory look. As for keyless entry, I used to some aftermarket cheapo kit that worked fine. I never got around to wiring it up using relays to the factory door look lock switch, I just always used my remote.
