Console/Arm rest not securing

I recently bought my 2003 Ford Ranger XLT, it has the bench seat with the fold down arm rest/console in the middle. Unfortunately the guy who had the truck before me busted the little piece that secures the arm rest shut, has anybody ever found the part to secure it shut or had a fix to keep it secure. Its really annoying when I have a bunch of stuff in my arm rest then someone wanted to sit in the middle and everything falls out upon lifting the arm rest up, lol.

Thanks

A common problem, evidently

My console lid is pretty well broken up too, the piece that engages into the latch is just kind of dangling there, but the thing stays latched OK so far.
I'm going to try to work out a fix, but you are welcome to beat me to it if you come up with something.

Should be s few of them in the JY, they are very common.

For the time being use a small bungee cord or one of the flat black rubber ones to hold the top shut.
