I'm not too sure but I know my 98 had the same thing. You could always look at replacement carpet and probably get it cheap. Or vinyl floor as well.

Wirelessly posted (Droid2)

Got vinyl in my FX4 and love it. Much easier to clean and seems to be holding up well after 5 years.

you can live without, you'll just wind up buying a bunch of unnecessary food and other items you'll never need.

Another vote here for replacing that whole carpet with a vinyl floor! I've had vinyl in both my Rangers with no complaints and my Dad had carpet in his '00. We couldn't keep it clean no matter what we did!

I had oily spots on mine when I bought it. Took the whole carpet out took it down to the carwash and soaked it with tire and engine cleaner. Then pressure washed it and it all came out. let it sry for a couple of days and it looks like new.

Ten bucks at most and it cant make it worse just make sure all the padding gets dry before you put it back in. I also sprayed a couple cans of ruberized undercoating to reduce some noise in the cab.

I had a few rust stain on the floor from the snow/salt mix that fell over the back seat ruvbber floor mats in my wife's car, I used CLR to get it out. I poured a capful at a time on that line of rust that outlined the edge of the floor mat and used a plastic bristled brush on the carpet. I used a wet/dry vac and spray bottle of water to get the CLR out. Your stain looks like rust to me.

Good Luck...

It came out completely. Water rinsed it with the wet/dry vac and the area looks brand new.
