I can say my truck is still fun to drive sometimes...take a break from the Stang, easy to drive.

Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY enjoy driving my truck. I love it, I just don't think "Fun" is the right word.

Should have gotten an auto if you wanted comfort. Now with my experience with my tranny I would have gotten an auto.

I enjoy driving stick too though! I would not give up a manual for anything (and I have some bad experiences as you know dsms & evo's have the worst transmissions)

I gave up power windows and locks for a stick.

Time for a Sheppard Racing built tranny!! I would have gone that route if I bought my friend's 92 Talon TSI.

I bought my truck used and didn't really have a choice. I wish I had auto, cruise, power everything and 4 doors. Stick is fun to drive but I would want a car with a good manual transmission.

I know what you mean about getting that shifter **** off, the easiest way i found was to take an open end wrench that fits under the **** and tap the wrench close to the shifter and tap it off, when i changed my shifter ****, i removed it form the transmission and tapped it so i could screw on the shifter **** for a mustange

I called them and they said that these:

wont work....

so much for "all fords"

anyways I did some research and it turns out the outer diameter of the splines is 15.0mm
The spline length is 26mm.

Trying to find something that will fit.
