Here is my home made center console, which, has turned into a never ending project.

The stain I used is called GunStock by minwax.

I used 15 coats, of Gloss interior/exterior Poly.

Since its been this way for almost a year? Probably never. Lol.

But it has been in use in the truck all that time. It works well. I took it out to mount the cb. The area under the cup holders i am going to make water tight using clear caulk. So if i have a spill it doesnt make a huge mess.

 

huh. cant decide if i love it or not. cool idea though.

 

well... with leather buckets, and a huge open space... and 'factory' consoles costing an arm and a leg, made of cheap chinese plastic... this works well.

 

I can't tell if this is a joke and you're just building a short set of stairs.
