Icon2 '98 seat swap

The stock drivers seatback in my '98 x-cab broke so now the seatback has to be wedged up to prevent it from falling backwards. Checked 2 boneyards and couldn't find a matching set in decent condition. Ford does not offer replacement parts, you have to buy a whole new seat ($202 quoted from dealership.) Mechanic said he could weld it but the adjustability would be gone. My question is, are there direct bolt in alternatives? I've looked into upgrading to racing seats but the bracketry is different. Even if its non-Ford or even aftermarket I'm looking for a replacement set that would work. Thanks!

Explorer bucket seats up till 01 will swap in with very little modding. Just have to ream out the back mounting holes. $202 isn't too terrible for a brand new seat. I'd figure the stealership would be charging $400+ for one side. Also try searching car-parts.com

Yeh i have explorer seats in my 99. The only thing you have to do is drill out 3 of the holes because the ranger bolts are bigger. Mustang seats also bolt in.(may have to swap tracks on them can't remember. Any year ranger seats. There's a few more i cant think of maybe someone else can chime in.
