dome light

dome light

anyone know a way to remove it? im trying to take off the lenses but its not coming off and feels like the whole thing is about to come off

which one do you have. the clear bubble style?

need to get a couple pocket screwdrivers and put them in and pull... its a complete pain in the butt...

If memory serves me right you have to pop the tabs off the back and pull froward type of deal lol

I've ran both....went back to this one for the bright *** lights. Expo map lights are aimed like ****. Stang uses those sh!tty fuse lookin' bulbs that you cant get bright incandescants for. I know....i've tried. lol. Plus the bubble light gives the most output of light when the doors are open or the switch is up.


IF i order LED's for those fuse lookin' bulbs, stang is goin' back in. Map light aim is perfect.

I tired prying mine off from the front and broke the damn chrome plastic. But it gave me a reason to get a 'Contour' dome light. Same thing as a mustang dome.

Hahah I just put my cover back on today. I put the SMD light pad things in mine and today my mom sayed I'm gunna go blind when she got in my truck earlier haha

yours has to be blown out my 1993 had that style and my 1994 splash and my 2000 ranger.. my 1993 is difficult but not bad.. the 1994 broke instantly it was a *****...the 2000 was simple..

i think on the older one's they put more material on the tabs
