door panels

im putting new speakers in tomarrow... how do i take off the door panels? and are the dem. of the speakers 6x8?

thanks

Power or manual?
the manual panels have 3 screws. One in the armrest, one at the bottom right corner of the door and one behind the window crank, that requires a T-15 torx bit. Pull the crank off and lift the panel up.

The speakers are stock 5x7, but 6x8's work just fine with no problems.

it has the power group... (windows, locks, mirrors)...

I have no idea then, someone will have an answer for you shortly:)

i just went out and looked at it and it seems to be basically the same with the 3 screws but they are in differend locations...

what about the rear doors?

Pinecone 01-16-2005 04:16 AM

You've got me stumped, lol, no rear doors:) Lemme find a how-to or something.

ranger024x4 01-17-2005 02:44 AM

anyone know how to take the rear doors off?

armyboy 01-18-2005 05:06 AM

once you get the black part with the door handle off there is one more screw, then you can pull the panel up and off

One screw on the lower corner. Two screws behind the door handles. One more behind that. Remove cap from window crank. One underneath there too. Then pull up on the panel.

My stock speakers were 5x7s.

Pinecone, how do you get to the window crank screw?

pull the cover off the window crank, pull hard
