I think it looks fine as is but if you change it I would paint the pods to match the rest of the plastic.

I had a similar deal years ago. I went to a home paint store where they have the computer color matching and had them mix me up a quart. It worked great. This was on one of those extra cab window louvers on an f-150. I painted the exterior to match, but from the inside it was the black plastic showing.

They mixed me an enamel. I thiink they had an eggshell (low gloss) that they used. It held up very well and matched the interior real good. Nowadays they probably have interior sprays already matched for you.

I used VHT plastic paint to paint mine a contrasting gray color that is the same as my overhead console trim. The VHT plastic paint is EXCELLENT and adheres and covers well. You may be able to find that exact shade of gray if you look. The paint is a bit hard to get ahold of, but worth the time.

This is what mine looks like.

If I did it over again, I might match it instead -- but it's not bad when you're inside since it's the same gray as the OHC and whatnot.

Ha ha! I think I asked you about those pins before when you posted. That's what I'm talking about -- I saw your pictures before and liked how it came out. You're the reason I'd do it differently next time, lol.

i'd TOTALLY paint it. just like cody and eric suggested, use some SEM vinyl and fabric coating, or a rattle can from ford. SEM has a reallllly close match to that factory gray.

i feel like part of the idea behind pillar pod mounts is that they look pretty factory, especially if theyre color matched. i just got a single pillar pod for my fuel pressure gauge. my interior is all black, and the pod came in black, and i STILL painted it with SEM v&f spray, as i wanted it to match EXACTLY.

i think painting it is the difference between having it look like you just threw it in the truck, and having it look like a real factory-style installation that flows with your interior. don't skimp... PAINT IT!!

you should get a "Hot Chickometer" that way if one pull sup next to you, and you are busy singing Journey into your steering wheel it'll let you know.

My stupid question is where did you get the pods at? I'd love to have one for a voltmeter.
