Escape seat swap

At the junkyard today I picked up a set of leather Ford Escape seats. I am in the process of swapping tracks and wonder if any one has any pointers for me? Has any one done a escape seat swap before?

I can imagine that is going to involve some degree of fabrication.

You will have to find some way to mount the Escape seat onto the Ranger bracket or find a way to mount the Escape seat to the Ranger floor.

yeah, which either way is going to involve lots of trial and error.

Craigslist 'em and pick up some Expo seats instead.

Well the junk yard said I can return em if they don't fit so I will probably do that. The only thing is all the expo seats they have are s*** so I have to find some elsewhere.

I have decided to mod these seats up to make them fit. Once I set the passenger seat in I decided to keep them.

u might be able to bend those brackets a little to make the eyelets match up to the holes in the floor (u might be able to, not quite sure havent really looked that close to a mod like this)

they look great,
its so funny i just saw this thread because, yesterday in 7/11 parking lot an escape parked next to me with leather seats, but they were fixed back without expendable head rests like my oem mazdas just leather, so it got me thinking about doing the swap myself.

for $70 you cant go wrong. you could easily flip those on craigslist for like $250.

If you do that, buy some Expo seats and have them reupholstered.

I personally don't really like those Escape seats. They also look pretty flat and unsupportive.

haha w,e makes you happy man the reason i still have my seats is because they are 10xs more comfortable than my focus seats and i dont see the reason of changing comfortable seats. If i could have the comfort of my ranger seats in the focus i would be so happy, or the gas mileage that the focus gets in the truck would be even better. lol

Looks like it's going to take lots of fab'n to get those in but when you do it'll be sweet!

Can't go wrong with leater seats for $70!

The red bar is just to keep the rear brackets width the same.
