Armrests... FINALLY got paint to dry!
Thanks to whoever suggested DupliColor for painting the vinyl armrests...
I made the pilgrimage to the local auto parts store & they actually had gloss black DupliColor vinyl & plastic paint... in stock. They normally don't stock anything but washer fluid.
Grabbed both cans off the shelf & headed home to re-re-re-re-repaint the armrests.
After wiping off my last attempt at painting these darn armrests gloss black, I gave them a coat, let it dry a few minutes, shot a second heavier coat, let it dry for about an hour (to make sure it was really gonna dry this time).
Only took half a can for both armrests.
They were totally dry within half an hour. Installed them back on the door panels after about 2 hours & they match 96% the window/lock switch panels I painted with Krylon Fusion last year.
No more sticky armrests!
While I had the garage stunk up with paint/paint thinner, I decided to paint the grill all black with Fusion. Looks much better than the black/fading gray.
Now, I think I'd like to change the gray carpeted area on the door panels to black. Anyone ever tried the DupliColor vinyl/fabric paint on carpet?
Pics to come when I get caught up on some stuff around the house.

Just for reference, the carpeted area is right above the arm rest:

Thanks guys & gals,
After seeing Foxxy's painted door panels, I might give my door panel carpet a shot of the fabric paint to see what happens.
I think a little more black accents on the door panels would look nice.
Wouldn't hurt if I'd take time to wash some of the dirt off it either

lol, I remember back when I had my really beat up 87 RX7 Turbo, it was a black car with a burgundy interior. Someone put blue Integra buckets in it, painted the dash and door panels black, cuz it had a maroon interior, and they even spraypainted the carpet black, but you could still see the maroon. It was awful lol.
