explorer dash fit in ranger

explorer dash fit in ranger

i have a 99 ranger 2wd manual and the instrument panel quit working well the speed sensor keeps going out and my gas gauge doesnt work so what i was wondering was will a explorer dash work and does it have to be a certain year? what would you guys do?

Any 98-01 Explorer gauge cluster just to be safe..

one more thing the dash i have does not have a tach in it. im wanting to put a dash in with a tach. is there anything i need to know?

Are you sure it's the gauge cluster? You could have other problems, put in a new cluster, and end up with the same difficulty...

Did you read the thread on taking apart the bulkhead connector under the rear seat and cleaning it? Your difficulties sound like they could be from that. Might save you some money. It was a thread about the gas gauge not working properly and was just in the last couple of days by jrpro130 I think.
