Fiberglass question

I am in the process of making a switch pod out of fiberglass. The basic form of it is pretty much complete except for finishing. My question is how well does resin bond to bondo. Such could I put a layer of resin and hardener on top of a coat of bondo. Thanks for the help

they will bond just fine as long as the surfaces are prepped right, i.e. scuffed and cleaned...

my question is, however, why would you want to put resin over bondo??? bondo is a finishing/filling compound...resin is just a base...

I was curious if I finished it with bondo then decided to change it would it work. That was the basis of the question sorry for the vagueness.

it's all good man...if you do decide to change it later and you wanna keep that switch pod you could always use a DA sander or a small palm sander whichever you have available and just sand off all the bondo

This switch pod is basically for practice before I do my full console. The pod I am building will replace the cubbyhole and airbag piece. The airbag switch will have to just be pushed up into the dash unless I can make it fit my switch pod. Like I said tho itz just for practice and if it turns out as well as it is going right now I might put it up for sale once it is completed.
