Icon11 A seat tilt question

Well i have a singlecab, which sucks. I was wondering if anyone else that has a singlecab leans their seat ALL the way back, as far as itll go..I mean leaning against the rear window??

i ask because when i first got the truck the rear window was leaking water very bad..Couldnt figure it out. long story short i bought some black adhesive and ran a bead of that along the outside of my window..>Then i noticed it leaked but not as bad, so i pulled the headliner down and ran some on the inside along the window seal...Doesnt leak now.....

I wanna lean my seat ALL the way back but im scared the weight will push the rear window loose??? Does anyone know if leaning your seat against your rear window will cause it to loosen up?

I could see it. Hit enough bumps and I'm sure the seat hitting the window is just adding pressure to loosen up those seals. Personally, I don't lean back at all. I like my seat straight up and down. I know I'm an odd one.

I havent had the problem of leaking and my seats are against the window. So 4 years and 10 months of that before the seat swap and no problems.

dont some people have problems with the 3rd brake light leaking? so i dont think you seat touching the window would cause a problem.

no its NOT the 3rd brake light for sure...I was just think, like he said, about your weight against the window and over time bumps and stuff could push the seals outa place and cause leaking.....Alot of times im reaching behind my seat and i elbow the window, one day ill probably break it..

When I took my truck up to Ford a while back I had my seats leaned against the window and they told me not to do that because over time the seats will push the back window from the sealing
