Floor Mats Slip'n Sliding!
Floor Mats Slip'n Sliding!
I had the dealer get me a carpet floor mats in my new Ranger XL. The floor mats slides all over the place.. It has a hard plastic stubs on the bottom, and it has nothing to grab to since XL don't come with carpet in the cab.
I got a shower floor mat, figured it may help, but it don't. What do you guys do?
I am starting to think maybe I should look for an aftermarket cab carpet. I didn't find anything off hand on the net for this.

I have the same problem.
I found a set that stay put relatively well... they're a set of rubber ones I used in my Civic, lol. But I think I bought them at Sam's.
I've tried a number of different things, including using industrial strength velcro to affix them to the floor. The sticky stuff wouldn't stick to the floor, despite the fact that it was clean enough to eat off of.

Hooks on the back? It's the OEM mats with the Ranger logo on it, and there is a hole in the rugs to catch a hook, but hooks are only in the XLT (carpet) model.
Nah.. I'm not putting screws into my new truck, and tape!? I don't want the tape mess down the road.
I think the reason I went with the carpet mat is for sound absorbing in the cab. Guess they don't do much as I though it would.
Oh I put sound absorbing material under my floor when I had a water leak. The hook is universal and screws into the floor. It is self tapping but if you don't want to do that then you are sol.
You got my attention on the hook... Can ya point me to the hook you are talking about?
I got a set of floor mats from Costco and they are made from recycled tires and they are smooth on the back and they stay put. Only thing I can think of is that foam rubbery checkered stuff you put in your tool box. I think you also put it under rugs, ill see if I cant find a link.

Okay here we go guys.
OEM Ford Deep Tread Mats with OEM hook piece that screws into the rubber flooring for Edges.

This worked great for a couple years until the plastic holder started to wear out.
Well I came up with this idea, all stainless steel of course.

1/4" - 2 1/4" machine screw
1/4" - nut
1/4" - wingnut
a couple washers
and a few drops of red lock-tite on the lower nut. (possibly sig worthy)
