Ford Escape tilt back rest lever

Before I tear into it, and not knowing what I could be getting into.
Has anyone, or does anyone know if the ratchet lever that lets the back rest lean back, can be modified so that it tilts forward more for better access to the rear area?
Or any pictures of what the m
echanism looks like inside?
Otherwise I could get a junk bottom at the junk yard to use as a sacrificial practice piece to see if it is even possible??

I trimmed out a bit from where it comes to a stop, so it sits more vertical, but might need to trim more so it folds forward more to better access behind the seats.

I was able to get the Ford Escape seats to tilt forward, but had to cut loose the L brackets at the bottom of the backrest, knock the two pieces apart, and rotate that disk shaped gizmo forward about 1/3, weld back together, and had to make some adapter plates to get them to work.
Seats sit real nice.
I wasn't able to utilize the trim panel that would be along the inside, because the monorail is too much in the way.

Hey, what year Escape seats are these? Were they a pain to get in? Just found some nice leather Escape seats from a 2010. Wondering if it's easy enough to install them

One is out of a 2005, and the other a 2006.
Not sure if 2010 is any different, but mine didn't tilt forward, but backwards only, and if you want them to, you have to cut the hinge apart, and rotate that disc forward, about 1/3.
Also, need to make adapter brackets, to mate them together. Need to cut the tracks off of them, and use the ranger tracks.

Front seats from a 2 door will tilt forward, front seats from a 4 door will recline.
